Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account and using PPDS Pro, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. The service

PPDS Pro is a software tool that helps UK cottage food businesses generate ingredient labels. The service provides My Pantry (your own managed ingredient library), allergen detection, label formatting, and a saved product library.

Important:PPDS Pro is a tool to assist with label creation. It is your responsibility as a food business operator to verify that your labels are accurate and comply with all applicable legislation, including Natasha's Law (Food Information (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2019) and EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation (as retained in UK law). Always verify ingredient descriptions against your actual supplier packaging, as formulations can change without notice.

3. Subscriptions

Access to PPDS Pro requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees are charged monthly and are non-refundable except where required by UK consumer law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Prices: Standard £10.00/month, Pro £14.99/month. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract the ingredient database
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription requirements
• Resell or sublicense access to the service

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you create (saved products, uploaded logos, business details). By uploading content you grant us a licence to store and display it within the service on your behalf. We do not claim any ownership over your business information or product recipes.

6. Limitation of liability

PPDS Pro provides tools to assist with label compliance. Ingredient text in your labels comes from your own My Pantry — you are solely responsible for ensuring that pantry entries accurately reflect your actual supplier packaging. Formulations change regularly and it is your responsibility to keep your pantry up to date.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PPDS Pro shall not be liable for any damages arising from: the use or inability to use the service; inaccurate ingredient text entered into your pantry; labels produced using the service that are found to be non-compliant; or any third-party claims arising from your food labelling practices.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

7. Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, update the service, or withdraw features with reasonable notice. We will not suspend or terminate paid subscriptions without good cause and reasonable notice.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the account settings page. On deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify existing users by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
